Important Update! Please Read
Posting Guidelines:
Please post only in ONE ring to be judged (you may also post in: breeds, Fall Offs and Winners)
Please include only ONE photo per post and be sure to downsize your photo to no more than 600 pixels wide and no more than 300 kb. Please only post embedded videos, not links leading off this site. (Post to You Tube, not Face Book or other sites). Please limit your videos to no more than 3 minutes each, except for Dressage rides.
Unless your photo is taken in a horse show, please do not post in the Hunter/Eq ring, post in Schooling instead
Rob, Sharon & Carol judge photos and videos in ALL the rings. You won’t get a different judge by posting in a different ring :-)
Here are some ideas to help you post your photo or video comfortably!
Using a photo editing software like Photo Shop or the free download www.irfanview.com (there are lots of others out there), open your photo and downsize to 600 pixels wide. You can also email the photo to your smart phone and then send back to your email. Most smart phones have the option of what size to send the photo. Choose the size which is under 300 kb. Make sure your file type is jpeg, gif or similar, not bmp which is larger.
Save the photo file to your hard drive. Open a “New Post” window and click “add media”. This will open a new window. Find the file on your hard drive. This will lead to a “crunching” process and when that finishes, scroll to the bottom of the window and click “insert into post”. Now add a subject line and some details about your horse. Go to the list of categories on the right and choose ONE ring: hunter/eq, jumpers, etc. You may also add one breed ring, tributes, winners, pets, etc. Click “PUBLISH” and you are done!
To embed a video: post video to You Tube. Click on the “share” button, then the “embed” button. Copy that html code which pops up in the window. Open a new post window, change the tab from “visual” to “html” and paste the code you copied from the You Tube Window. Add a heading in the Subject line. Choose ONE category: Hunter/Eq, Ponies, Jumpers, etc. Click “PUBLISH” and you are done!
