I started my equine career in a very special way. I learned to ride and was coached by an amazing women whom I call a “horse whisperer” before the time.  For that reason I was taught a way of working with all horse breeds and disciplines in a way that made it comfortable for the horse to step into its own to be a happy, centered and balanced horse who was the best they could be. I was taught each horse was an individual and very unique in its own talents and weaknesses. Barbara Obritz specialized in helping and transforming the abused horses or the horses people said would never make it. I took those principles and incorporated them into my “training and coaching” program.

As a youth my successful career included:

Local and state fair 4-h class wins

Saddle club and local zones – individual class wins, all-around high points, champions and 22       year end awards including: * Rookie of the Year * Most points English *Most points western

                AQHA Youth Worlds Qualifier

Novice Youth all-arounds, class wins,  all-arounds, circuit awards

3 class winner at Northwest Quarter Horse Congress – including Novice Non-Pro western pleasure futurity (only youth in the class) *13 and Under western pleasure, showmanship

I went to work in Texas for the number 3 AQHA leading sire in the country in the training barn. I learned a lot of what it was I wanted and didn’t want to do in my life. I believed the horses always came first no matter what level of competition you were at and I still believe that firmly today. As I opened a Wellness Rehabilitation Center for horses for total wellness and transformation in recovery for physical, mental, emotional and behavioral well being.

As a coach my success included numerous youth and amateur  local and national class wins, champions, circuit awards and year end honor roll placing’s for AQHA, ApHC, ABRA and IBHA associations, as well as huntseat horse, equitation, horsemanship, showmanship and trail winners as well as some over fences as well. I coached a Youth Reserve World Champion in Equitation, and rode a Junior Horse to a Congress win in Junior Western Pleasure at the All American Buckskin Horse Congress. With many youth, amateur and training horses on a local and national level it was wonderful and very rewarding but I decided being home to raise a daughter was the most important thing of all. We now run the GA Equine Wellness Center that specializes in rehabilitation for horses of all breeds and total horse wellness. We still compete locally in the south in AQHA, APHA and local hunter shows.

I am honored and excited to be the newest addition to Judge My Ride.
