Finn Jumping

This is Finn, who I’ve had for about 4-5 months now. We compete in 2’9” Jr./ Am. classes. Lately, he’s been really bad with his knees .. so for the last two weeks I’ve worked him through gymnastics and low spreads. He’s picking them up A LOT BETTER now so I’m trying to focus on my eq. more. Please judge everything you can. (sorry the photos are weird cropped and blurry- theyre video stills)

BRODY’s 1st Jump.

This is a trial horse named Brody. He’s a 7 year old OTTB who’s approximately 16.2hh. His old owner adopted him from the ASPCA a year ago. This past year she’s ridden him a hand-full of times and the past 4 months he’s only been lunged and turned out. I’ve had him for two weeks now and tryed him over a few little fences. If I am to keep him, I’d like to work towards being a Jumper. So what do you think?

P.S. I’ll be starting him thru gymnastics tomorrow.

Finn- 3’4” spread

This is Finn who I’ve had for 3 months now (maybe four!) He’s been to two IEHJA shows where he’s won Reserve Champion in the 2’9” Jr. /Ams. I’ve been working on getting flying changes, and a better head carriage on the flat, but can you give me any advice for my eq. over fences & also his form. This jump is the second jump in a 4-stride line. It’s about 3’4” because our jumps aren’t made normal..

Thanks soo much for all critique

RyRy jumping her Mustang!

This is my 11 year old sister jumping her 7 year old mustang. Last time I posted a photo of her you said she needed to release! So how’s this? :) I know her stirrups are REALLY long and I’ve got no idea why..but please judge anything you can! This jump is 2’9” and the 1st fence in a 4-stride line.417426_10151333006022401_159477239_n[1]

Finn in Clinic

This is Finn in the Nick Karaziccis clinic at Horse Expo Pomona.  He did really well except for at the end of the first day of the clinic. He had started getting a wither sore and you can see him start trotting through the grid, but by the second day he was doing better because I changed my tack. I put a video up yesterday of him and got comments saying he was going too fast and I should slow down. In this video I think  he’s going slightly slower so whatchya think? :) Thanks soo much!

Finn Through Gymnastic

This is my 16.3hh, 5 year old TB. I’ve had him for a little over a month & I’m still adjusting to him. This is through a triple combo with ground poles 1/2 way imbetween the jumps. The last fence in the last few clips is 3’1”.  I usually compete on  a 14.2hh Arab & a 15.2hh TB in low jumpers. Since I’ve been showing jumpers for the past 2 years, I’ve not been focusing on my eq. as much, but since I’ve got him I’ve been competing in the Jr./Ams. I’m now really starting to focus on my eq.  & getting my spots. Please judge my eq. and his form. (p.s. I know I start to get snappy with my upper body.)

Thanks soo much! link below

This is me on my gelding Finn I’ve had for a little over a month. Finn is a 16.3 , 5 year old OTTB who had a 6 months of hunter training before I got him, but he’s still very green. Sorry it’s a weird angle & I think he’s just starting to land. Please judge my eq. & if you can, his form. BTW this is through a 5 jump gymnastic where the jumps are 18ft. apart.
