Landing Contest

Landing!

Buddy

So I have been trying to get Buddy to use his hind end more by (trying) to do some lateral movements such as leg yeild, and some circles. However, he is very stiff and will not bend and doesn’t respond to my leg. This is a video of us today and it was pretty ugly… all critisicm/advice is helpful!!! I’m sure you all understand how frustrating this sport can be haha. Thanks!

Conformation

Judge his conformation please :)

Engaging the Hind End

Hi everyone,
So I understand that for a horse to be in a true frame, he has to be engaged from his hind end, since we have to ride them from back to front. My question is, how do I know when my horse’s hind end is engaged?
Thanks :) You are all so helpful!

Frame?

Hi, I have been working on getting Buddy into a frame. Since he’s easing back into work from his injury, I figured working on it while we can only walk would be a good start. How are we doing? Thanks :)

Help!

I know I post a lot of questions about flat work and stuff, but my horse still doesn’t want to do it. When we track clockwise, he will bend a tiny bit, but going counter clockwise he loves to counter bend. He won’t respond to my leg when I ask him to move over at all. When I massage the reins with my ring finger on my inside hand and apply pressure with ny inside leg he thinks it means turn. He’s also not very forward. Its getting very frustrating. Please help!! Thanks!

Exercises

Due to a previous injury, my horse has been on stall rest for a few months. We are slowly easing him back into work. As of right now, we only walk him, adding an extra minute everyday (we are at 19 minutes). To keep the walking interesting, what are some good exercises that will help him be more engaged and use himself better? Transition work is out of the question since we can only walk :)
Thanks!

Buddy and I

I was scrolling through some of my old pictures and I found this one, I would love for it to be judged! Thanks :)
