Equitation (flat) Contest
November video clips
I’m not completely pleased with these clips, but I thought I’d just post them anyways
From watching them I can tell that I’m sitting down too early over the jumps. Also, although slightly better than usual, my mare is still a rusher. Currently, we are working on landing on the correct lead and flying lead changes. Please judge both horse and rider, thanks in advance.
To Do Hunter/Eq or Not?
The first photo was at a clinic with a local hunter/eq trainer a month ago. This was a 3′ oxer at the end of a grid. The last photo is from schooling yesterday over the same jump (after a month of stirrup-less riding and working on my release!)
I am normally an eventer, but I have been told several times by different people that my mare and I should show in hunters and/or equitation. I was wondering what Rob/Carol/Sharon thought? (I already got a lot of wonderful comments from other JMR users). Also, any tips on being successful in the rated shows would be fantastic. Thanks in advance. (The photos do enlarge)

To Hunter/Eq or Not? For the Judges…
The first 2 photos were at a clinic with a local hunter/eq trainer a month ago. This was a 3′ oxer at the end of a grid. The last photo is from schooling today over the same jump (after a month of stirrup-less riding and working on my release!)

To hunter/eq or not? For the judges…
This was a clinic with a local hunter/eq trainer several weeks ago. Ruby was great. This oxer was around 3ft and at the end of a line. I know my release isn’t the greatest, I’m working on that right after no stirrup november is over
I am normally an eventer, but I have been told several times by different people that I should try to show in hunters and/or equitation, and I was wondering what Rob/Carol/Sharon thought? (I already got a lot of wonderful comments from other JMR users). Thanks in advance.

To Hunter/Eq or not? For Rob/Carol/Sharon
Today I had a clinic with a local hunter/eq trainer who judged our barn show 3 weeks ago. Ruby was great. This oxer was around 3ft and at the end of a line.
