Me and my Andalusian Gelding at a show several weekends ago doing the 0.90m jumpers. This was our first jumper show together (he was recently gelded so now I am allowed to show him). He doesn’t do his changes yet but we are working on them at home, but for the most part he landed on the correct lead anyways. This was a speed class that we won out of 20 some horses so I was pretty happy.
This is a video of me and my horse having a lesson with Kyle King. Milan is a 7 year old Andalusian Gelding
My favorite show is the Canadian National Champion Andalusian Show. I have been going to it for the past 5 years. It’s my favorite because everyone is like a family there, and even if there are big titles up for grabs, not everyone forgets that you can still be friendly and competitive at the same time. Here are a few pictures from the show!
Hi I was just wondering over a small course like 2’0-2’3″ would a hunter judge prefer a simple change to cantering on the wrong lead? My one greenie does his changes sometimes but when he doesn’t I just use simple changes, which he has gotten quite good at. This would just be at a schooling show of course I wouldn’t take him to a bigger show till he is doing his changes etc. and going good.
