This is my favorite pic from my last show of the year last weekend. It was supposed to be a 3′ class, but they lowered the jumps to 2’9″-2’6″ because of the super wet footing. Please JMR!

This is me jumping my 14.2hh arab-x mare 3’6″. If you watch the landing side of her arc, I do a weird hunch with my back for like .2 seconds. I don’t realize I do it when I jump, and its mainly only over bigger jumps when it happens. Why am I doing it and how can I fix it?

I recently purchased this OTTB gelding from a horse trader. The lady said he was 18 and previously an upper level Eventer. I sent a pic of his tattoo to the JC and they said he is 21 yrs old and was raced under the name of “Call Me Rocky” and born and bred in Ohio (I am in Ohio as well). Race records: http://equibase.com/profiles/Results.cfm?type=Horse&refno=1350314®istry=T Goes by the barn name of “Rolex” . He is 16.2hh and has 2 hind socks. Trader said he was Evented all over the mid-west and east coast. Not sure how true that is, but he was obviously extensively jumped before the trader got him. I have jumped him up to 3’6″ (no higher cause he is older and not back in tiptop form yet) and he never batted an eyelash. I put his barn name, his JC name, and the supposed name of his previous owner who was supposed to have done all the eventing with him– into the USEF and USEA websites and haven’t found anything competition-record wise. He has found his forever home with me, but I am just really curious as to his past, and I figured it wouldn’t hurt to post his pic on here.

Hanging knees!? Help!

This is 4yo 15.2hh OTTB gelding Glitterich and I jumping 2’6″. We came at this jump from a medium trot. He jumps very strangely. He really uses his head and neck, but he hangs his knees and lands with what feels like a combo of a thud and a buck. How do I fix this??

Sarabi is a 3/4 Arab 1/4 ASB mare that I trained myself. This photo is of us doing the 3′ jumpers at a show at the Kentucky Horse Park. It was the biggest show I’ve ever been to, and Sarabi’s 5th show ever. She is my dream horse and I love her more than words!
This is Sarabi and I at Beaver Creek State Park on her first “real” trail ride. She had only been under saddle for 3 months, and we rode for over 5 hours that day! We had a major bonding moment in the river, as Sarabi hated water and didn’t want to go anywhere near it. Once I convinced her she wasn’t going to die, she started playing in it and blowing bubbles and she has loved water ever since!

This is my 14.2hh 3/4 Arab mare and I jumping some big oxers. My standards in the top photo are 5′. I feel like over bigger and wider fences, I don’t have trouble keeping my lower leg, but my butt gets left behind. Why is that? My release is off over these fences too. Please judge horse & rider. Thank you!
