So this was the other, I think the first two jumps are like 2’6ish and the last one is a 3’0 or so! Please judge both horse and rider.
So this is Hechizar and I the other day! The jump is about 3’0. I’m mainly interested in him being judged, though you’re welcome to judge me as well. My equitation is certainly not the best here, I’m trying to stop reverting back to getting to far forward over jumps! Sometimes its better than others but overall a work in progress. I know my release is short, too – we are in Florida and it was a rare cold day so he was a little spunky (well, he’s always a little spunky) and was trying to drag me around so I was being bad about letting him go.
But as I said! Please judge my horse and me if you feel so inclined.
This is my 7 year old OTTB Hechizar and I. The jump is only 2’6 because it was actually a 3-phase show, only our third one together, and our first one in this particular location, so we decided to keep it low for the schooling show. We typically do the jumper classes, but recently I have been working towards more 3-phase stuff because I absolutely love the thrill of the cross country.
As you can see, Hechizar was not impressed at all by this jump so judge him if you’d like but it’s not necessary, but please do judge me! I know my leg has slipped back, I’ve been doing a lot of no stirrup work and bareback to work on that, so hopefully I will see it start improving!
