Anyone can answer this really, but I recently-ish got a saddle. It’s a 16″ PJ lite (but it measures like a 15.5). I am a petite person and at 20, I’m not going to grow anymore. I’m about 5’2″. I can fit 4 fingers between me and the end of the cantle (I’ve heard different things, like there should be 5 finger’s width to just 4, etc), and it is the first saddle I have ridden in where my knee actually reaches the knee rolls.
Anyway, sometimes I look at pictures and cringe because it looks really small and others it looks fine. Opinions? If needed, I can upload more.
This is the horse I am leasing now. He’s only 4 and is an Appendix. He’s real cute. Not really posting for a critique, but if you want, you can. We haven’t started working on framing and getting on the bit yet, this was just a moment from a video where he had nice self carriage on a loose rein.
Any guesses on how tall he is?
This is several years old. Looking at it now, there are so many mistakes and in all honestly, I think it’s bad, but I like to see my progression as an artist.
Not quite horse related but close. Tom Hiddleston played Captain Nichols in the movie “War Horse.”
It takes me forever to complete a drawing, so this is only a small part of the process. :] Excuse the really crappy photo at the end. iMovie always wrecks the quality of photos.
Something I did a while ago. Half of the time I’m working on something outside of the frame. Sorry! haha. I had never done this before!
Whenever I work on a drawing, it is an extremely tedious process of building up a certain shade or texture or what have you. For this drawing, I completely reworked the face and eye (not included in the video), and started from the ground up once more. I can spend hours on one small section of the drawing until I feel it is right. I drive myself crazy!
