Please judge the horse more than me but i always welcome critisim to improve my riding. This is an off the track thoroughbred that i have been riding for about two months now. He has been off the track about three months now. This was also his first time off our farm since we got him and he never once acted like he was 5, he acted like he had been doing this his whole life.

I am currently riding an OTTB as a project horse to resell. My one problem is he loves to rush at the jumps and on the landings buck, we know nothing medically is wrong with him as the vet came out and looked at him recently. He also gets bored doing repetitive excersizes andI have been doing a lot of transition work(Canter-walk, Canter-Halt, Walk-Halt, Trot-halt), circles, and serpintines on the flat,stuff like that, just trying to get him to listen to me,but I really need suggestions on what to do up to the jumps. I was wondering if anybody had suggestions on getting him to listen to me before and after the jumps? .
This was taken in October at the last horseshow I went to in the 2012 season. I know my elbows are popping out a bit in this picture but I am working on it.
This was the Low Children`s Jumper power and speed course at the Atlanta Winter Classic I.
