Eventing Contest winners- Results next week :)

Hi everyone!  As you know Deborah was on the look0ut for talented Eventing entries while she was our honored Guest Judge.  She wrote and said if she missed anyone who posted on those dates, she will be back to respond :)   Her schedule is so full right now and with the holiday,  it will probably be next week before we have the winner of the Polos from Whinney Wear and the personally Autographed photo of the Practical Horseman with Deborah on the cover.  Thanks for you patience while we go back over all the entries.  We appreciate you all so much and feel so lucky to have you all as loyal followers of Judge My Ride.

Someone will win the Rocky Mountain Show Jumping Hickstead commemorative baseball cap from the “share and like FB” contest as well!

See you next week when we announce!

JMR Posting Guidelines

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to post a reminder of the JMR Posting Guidelines.

Please post all Schooling photos and videos in the Schooling ring only.

The Hunter/Eq, Jumper and Eventing rings are for Show photos and videos only.

Please post only ONE photo at a time. This keeps the website running smoothly.

The Ask the Judge page is not intended for photos, so please do not post there when looking for a critique.

Exceptions: JMR Staff will sometimes post in multiple rings and we also ask the Just World Ambassadors to post to more than one ring when they check in. The International ring can also post in Jumpers, or Dressage for example. And if we have a contest going on where you need to post to an additional special ring, we will post a notice on the home page.

If you are, for example, are riding a hunter and are schooling, you do not need to post to both the Hunter/Eq ring and the Schooling ring. Just post it in Schooling. The Judges go to all the rings and this way we keep the show photos/videos and the schooling entries organized and easy for the judges to find.

Lastly, our judges check in between judging at AA rated horse shows and teaching clinics around the country, so they can not comment on every photo/video posted immediately. If you do not get a comment from a judge, simply post the photo/video again. Just avoid using the word “skipped” when you post again. If a judge can not comment due to a photographers watermark, etc., they will leave you a note and let you know. So if a post was missed, it could have just been bumped down in the queue when they refreshed the page.

Thanks so much,

Noelle

Deborah is experiencing Technical difficulties

Hi everyone. I just heard from Deborah, and she was so upset because she is trying to log on to speak to you all and is having difficulties with her Intenet connection where she is traveling. ( She is showing this weekend as well) if for some reason she is not able to get this resolved tonight, she will be back tomorrow night and of course again on Monday, so keep posting in the Eventing ring for her! She wants to see all your videos, photos and and interact with as many of you as she can :)

Thanks everyone!

Reminder on JMR posting policy

Hi everyone :) We Just wanted to post a reminder that when posting a photo or video with a horse you do not own, you need to obtain permission from the horses owner before our Judges can evaluate it for you. :) Thanks so much to you all for being a part of Judge My Ride

JMR Posting Guidelines Reminder :)

HI everyone! Just wanted to post a reminder of the JMR posting Guidelines. Please post all Schooling photos and videos in the schooling ring only . The Hunter/Eq, Pony, Jumper and Eventing rings are for Show photos and videos only

But if you are, for example, on a pony and schooling, you do not need to post to both the pony ring and the schooling ring. Just post it in schooling. The Judges go to all the rings and this way we keep the show photos/videos and the schooling entries organized and easy for the judges to find.

Thanks so much,

Noelle

Posting guidelines friendly reminder :)

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you all know again how much we love getting your videos and photos and hearing about all of you and the horses and ponies you love! Keep them coming! As many of you know we have contests going on here at Judgemyride any week you check in! You could be SmartPak photo of the week, and be in the running for SmartPak photo of the month, where the winner has a special prize chosen just for them by SmartPak from their vast selection!

We give away a beautiful Samshield helmet every month too! There’s always something going on at JudgeMyRide so check back often!

Anyway when you post your videos and photos please remember these basic guidelines:

If it is a Schooling photo or video- post it in the Schooling ring only. We ask that you do not post to more than 2 or 3 rings at the most. The Hunter/Eq Ring, the Pony Ring, Jumper Ring and Eventing Rings are for show videos and photos only.

When in doubt- is it schooling? post it in the schooling ring. The judges check all the rings and if we have to move it to the proper ring, sometimes posts get lost, so best to put them in the right place to begin with.

For you conformation photos_ please be respectful to the knowledge that you are showing the horse to a USEF large “R” Judge. so saddle makrs, sweaty horse, mud stained etc., are not ideal to share. No tack on the horse whatsoever (other than a halter) or the judge can’t see enough to comment. stand the horse with its hind legs slightly apart and not at an angle from the camera. Meaning keep his front and hind end even and parallel to the camera for a proportioned full on side view. The more well turned out your horse is, the better impression it makes on the judge and a nod of respect the judge, animal and horsemanship.
