Literally ANY horse can do lower level eventing, as long as they are safe jumpers. Like Beginner Novice at 2’7 max and Novice is 2’11 max. For Kabookie, I don’t think he would be able to do higher than that.
Deep red with silver accents.
I wont be showing in Eventing for awhile but my barn owner is building us a XC course
There are a lot of draft cross in eventing. He can go as high as he can jump a course.
Often the problem with doing well is how nice are his gaits. Is he on the draft side (heavy gaits and kind of stiff) or more on the lighter side of his mix? Especially at the lower level, winners are determined by their dressage score as most riders are able to clear stadium and xc. That might prove to be harder for him.
You are about to have a xc course on site (jealous!). I say give it a try and sign him up for a schooling show. You can even go to a schooling dressage show in the meantime and see how he does there and the feed back you get from professional judges.
Either way, have fun!
I already gave critique on Kabookie. Scroll down in the column
With his color, you can pretty much use whatever color you like best.
I think a Dark green or Red would make his marking pop. He is built a little down hill for eventing but if you go beginner novice i’m sure it wont be a problem, good luck!
Royal blue would also look good,.
black or blue always look great on a grey!
