Laddy

Laddy is 16 1/2 months now! He’s quite the big boy and he’s still very leggy.  He’s around 15.1 hands.  He’s by Landkönig out of a Holsteiner/TB mare.

We took him over his first little jump the other day and he LOVED it! He acted like he had been doing it for years! He was totally relaxed and didn’t over jump at all.  His feet are kind of long in the pics, but he got them trimmed the day after. Please excuse his knees..we were walking down the road when a horse came galloping up to the gate in the nearby paddock.  He slipped and skinned them ): He’s quite alright though!

The last picture is just to show you how tall he really is! I’m riding my 16.2 (then fat) Oldenburg gelding.  We were leaving the San Gabriel River. This pic was taken in July.

Also, we’re thinking about showing him in hand this year and I was wondering if you had any tips regarding turn out, equipment, etc? Thanks!!
