The first picture is of Harley and I in pony hunter (2′-2’3″) in November of 2010
I got Harley for Christmas in 2008 and he was my first horse after I moved from Australia.
We went from epically failing in trot pole classes to at least not refusing in 2’9″ hunter classes.
This second picture is of my new horse Freddie and I in Novice level eventing in November 2011
I had my first dressage lesson in February ’11 and I have learnt so much.

Lovely XC photo
You might want to be slightly more upright, but I won’t commit either way from just a photo… remember you want minimal break over, only what your horse pushes your body to.
Hahaha Freddie doesn’t like touching jumps does he? He’s well over that brush… don’t worry either he will always jump over it, like my boy will, or eventually learn to go through it.
You know what is completely interesting about your 2 photos? The fact, that even as a little girl, you had wondeful position as a huner/equitation rider….& now that you are an eventer….you have a wonderful XC position too. You are versitile. Take a close look at Freddie’s ears…..think he’s haveing fun? So, what ever happened to Harley, where do you live now, and do you still speak with a slight accent???
Thank you so much! I live in Texas but I still have my accent. We gave Harley to a trail riding barn where he gets to run wild in a field for most of the year because after soundness issues, he didn’t seem the same and didn’t really want to jump. Freddie loves jumping and cross country so much. At shows he gets a little over excited… especially before dressage when he sees horses doing cross
