please judge Patty! You cant really see me too well but if you can/want judge me too. this was our first time jumping this log. thanks for judging!

There’s something really “off” about this… I just can’t quite put my finger on it…
Patty is jumping well, he probably could have his knees up more, but is well over the jump. I’m thinking that the distance was a bit close and you are slicing it a bit… just the way he’s jumping…
You need to shorten your stirrups and sink your weight into your leg. That should prevent them from flying back. Keep your body back, off the neck and more over the saddle… know what, that might be why it looks a little off.
I think the high weeds give your photo kind of an “optical illusion”. I think this jump is much higher than it looks, when you judge it against the level of her stifle. Personally, I think she is jumping this log fantastic!! Her front end is super tight, and she gave the log plenty of “air to spare”. Your release is a little exaggerated….but no harm done. Mostly…YOUR STIRRUPS WERE TOO LONG!
patty is a great jumper im really lucky about that! she was a but scared to jump it that might be why it looks weird. i am not sure. but thank you rob! i meant to shorten my stirrups before i went out there but totally forgot! i will shorten them!
