This is DeeDee, her registered/show name is Bombay Sapphire. This picture is from our winning class at the NC State Fair Youth Day Show for the 17-18 yr olds. It was a huge class (20+ people) and Dee was perfect ! I know my hands are dropped a tad breaking the line between elbow and bit, but other then that how do we look ? I suppose my toes could also be in a tad. I did purchase the ‘web’ version of this photo, which is why there is still a tiny watermark by her leg, but this is the image the photographer emailed to me

Yes, the 1st thing I noticed, was that your hands would be considered too low for equitation. It also looks like you might have been posting from the back of your saddle. They are “forward seat” saddles, and hence….you should sit in the front 1/2. Otherwise, your leg & heel are very good. I like your posture….just raise your chin a bit.
Thanks, how does Dee look ?
Looks like Dee needs a little more impulsion. After giving her some leg, you should stretch up and hold a bit with your core to lift her shoulder. That’s more “dressagey” though.
I guess for the hunters id want to see more relaxation from base of the neck and a more open, swinging step.
