This is my Thoroughbred, Declan and I showing in the Gittings Horsemanship. I won this class out of around 20.
I’m aware my leg has slipped back, I’m leaning too far forward and my toe is turned out. Any tips on these would be appreciated!
Please judge horse and rider!

When a few things are a tad off with a rider’s position it can usually be fixed by correcting one of the problems and that will domino effect to the others.
I think if you just practiced pushing your core out and staying centered over the saddle a little more you’d find your leg will probably have an easier time staying right underneath you. Imagine your body like a teeter totter. If you bring your body down your leg can easily swing back, if you bring your upper body too far back your leg will swing forward, you wanna be right in the middle. As for the toes you just need to focus on turning them in and keeping a little weight on the outside of the iron instead of the inside of you foot
Your horse is lovely! but i am a sucker for red heads.
Yes, you accidentally turned your feet outwards which rolled your lower legs back along his ribs.
Your upper body is much too close to his neck, as you dropped your elbows down the sides of his shoulders. He is very good with his knees….for hunters, it would be nice if he dropped his head a bit more.
Your horse is jumping great and you were a pretty good judge of yourself
