National Memorial Competition – Cracow, Poland

Crocow jumping

My posture is beginning to be repetitive.

I won three times in 110-115cm, was fourth twice in 120 ( I would have won it twice if not for my navigation malfunctioning a bit, lost 2-3 sec. ) and finished my 130 on Aviata with two fences down. It was a great weekend.

Mini Prix

Thanks for your critique, Rob. This show was at Pepiniere/St-Lazare in Quebec. Is my release better for him in this picture from today?
This video is from the Mini Prix today which didn’t go as well as I had hoped. I think Austin and I were both a bit tired from competing all week (hence the unfortunate rail and then some “less than perfect” distances on my part).
Unfortunately I won’t have more videos or pictures for you until my next show at Blainville International (Quebec) at the beginning of June.

Austin at Pepiniere

Thank you very much for your last comment, Rob! I just started riding him two months ago, so I’m still not very used to his big jump and sometimes lose my balance like you said.
These are pictures from my medal class today. I am doing a mini prix tomorrow and will hopefully have a video or picture to put up. :)

Speed Round at Pepiniere

This is me and Austin, the Dutch Warmblood gelding that I lease. The tent is blocking the view of the first jump, but please judge the rest.

So, this is Mindy :) She belongs to other Roisin, and she’s the star of their stables! She is dead quiet and bombproof  with novice riders and yet can really step up a gear when it comes to hunting :D

Think this was taken in January/Feb.. Mickey Finn was recovering from an abscess, and I was coming back from a broken arm.. We didn’t have the best year to say the least!! Roisin and her mum very kindly lent me Mindy for the day so I could still come hunting :) This was actually our very first jump together and I think we might’ve chipped a little bit as I lost a bit of faith in her.. oops…

Anyways, this was the day Roisin first brought out Teddy, her bay mare, and both ponies went super :D they just kept jumping!!  There’s a really good photo of us clearing a log, but sadly it’s copyrighted :( It was a fantastic day with plenty of mud and galloping.. to be honest, I’m already looking forward to winter and Hunting again!!

Not a great day at my first show of the year today. Heather stopped twice at the first few jumps in the 90cms (I was told to drive not kick by a trainer but it didnt really work…) but then continued the course in fine style :D It was her first show in three years so I was happy :) Blue on the other hand decided to be a stubborn head today (its the cruising in him  >.< ) and wanted to gallop everywhere. I held him back too much and we got 3 refusals (which is awful….) in 1m. Had regained some pride until he decided to run out at the last jump of a BIG 1.1m. So it wasnt our day.

Still please with how both rode after\between their misbehaving. Ohh and Finally got a nice show jacket – it’s american :P

Please judge Heather and I, thank you :) We have a equitation qualifer for the RDS in a month  :D

P.s thank you for the Samshield :D

Andanza

I was reminiscing and I found this photo of me and Andanza. I’ve missed her so much while at college, but I get to go back home on Wednesday for 3 months :) 913671_10151718055022018_1954431230_o

Tip on Ziggy? :)

Hi there I am from Australia (little bit of different riding style) so wondering if you could give us some tips? I know that I am not releseing enough, and my legs re slipping back. I am still getting used to him. I have only had him for 7 months. And he is 8 months OTT. He is a TB. He is coming along nicely, but taking it slower with jumping :)

This is Ziggy when he had only been jumping for 1 month.
