The same jump, on the same day, with the same horse. Very different outcomes!
If you haven’t already seen the video… Video Link I really didnt want to fall off
One tough cookie here, shame I couldn’t turn or else I could of put my
horse breaking skills (you know when your leaning over them, and you have to put on foot in the stirrup so
you can get yourself to sit on them?) to good use and halted him, got my foot back in the stirrup
and continued without crossing my path. Ara! The second picture is of the 1.1m which we went clear in,
and ended up 8th after knocking down the first fence in the jump-off. that still is 8th out of like 30, and no-one
remembers it’s only our 4th ever 1.1m. But the second picture. I don’t like it one bit, so I thought I might post
it to find out whats wrong. I know my hands are very forward and rein is tight, but its not like I’m pulling him back,
my leg hasn’t swung and his legs are good. Yet it looks horrible? Critic please
I’ll be adding more pictures to this post
so i dont spam like i did before.

I think it’s the timing of the photo that you don’t like.. I mean he’s barely over the jump at that point, etc. You look great by the way
I think part of it is how Blue jumped the fence. Looks like he needs a belly guard in that one! He barely picked his knees up (not like usual, I remember him always being a pretty good jumper
) so it looks a bit sloppy. I also think that it looks weird since you’re in front of your saddle since it slid back, so you may have been over-compensating your break over. Hope that helped? (I’m not a judge BTW. So feel free to ignore me if you want lol)
Here’s what I think happened. As you came down the line, you were pulling on his mouth a lot and his head got up really high. It didn’t look like you ever let go of his head, letting him properly jump. I’m not a judge or trainer so feel free to ignore me.
Casey’s right about the saddle slipping back. What happened? I know you have a breast plate. Blue is a super star!
