I can’t believe what I saw! The first two jumps…he just ducked out to the side!! You are so lucky this was a Gambler’s Choice…..in any regular class, you would have already been tossed out. First things first. Teach that horse….when he is aimed at a fence, he MUST get you to the other side! TEACH HIM! You don’t always have to be “Mr Nice Guy”. When he is a “Shmuck” treat him like one…don’t be nice to him. Be nice to him when he is being a good boy!
I would be working with him more, but I unfortunetly no longer have him.
Any other crit for the rest of the video?
**Not a Judge** It looked to me like you need to release!! Over every fence, your hands were planted right where they were when you were cantering. I understand if he’s fast, but you cant slow a horse down in midair, so might as well give them their head. It makes their job a little easier.
