Frank Selinger Clinic

A few weeks ago I took my 6 year old WB mare to a Frank Selinger clinic. I prefer the hunter ring, but Frank’s jumper clinic proved to be really beneficial. Please critique both myself and my mare, and be as nit-picky as you’d like! Thanks a bunch!

I’ve known Frank for many years. He is a wonderful coach…very detail oriented.
In a smallish ring like this, where your approaches are almost always from a curve….you have to look for, & fix the distances as your horse is still going around the turns. You can’t wait until your horse is actually facing the jump…..Adjust his strides BEFORE he actually faces the jumps. When he jumps, you break over with your body into your arms. You need to release your arms forward, first, then let your body follow your arms…you do body first, then arms.

Thanks so much!! I really appreciate it. The clinic was super, it was great to have fresh ideas and trickier courses. Frank is definitely a talented clinician.
