Jumping!

jump off at the fair, please judge both horse and rider! We won both of our classes out of 10 horses, no faults (clean rounds in both classes!)

  1. Robert Gage says:

Your take-off spot was WAY TOO LONG!!! Your horse had no chance to jump this little vertcial correctly. His hind feet are way behind him, and he reached forward with his front feet to make it over. It’s as if he jumped an imaginary jump, about 3′ in front of the actual jump. You got left behind some too. Try to remember….small jumps require shorter take-off spots.

  2. AllyandMac says:

i agree the quality of his jump and the quality of your position was affected by this bad distance. Remember when leaving strides out you can only vary from the set number in the line so much, you still have to get to the base of every jump.

  3. Eventer4Life says:

i think your horse would appreciate a bigger release
