Please judge horse and rider. I know my leg has slipped back a bit. Leo is a 14 year old thoroughbred and this was our first 3’3 class at a local show last weekend.

Leo could have his knees up more — you want his forearm to be parallel to the ground at the height of the jump. Your leg has slipped a little as you mentioned. It looks like you have turned your toes out a little too much. Place your foot in the stirrup so that your little toe touches the outside branch of the stirrup. Your seat and upper body are pretty good. If you look up more (over your horse’s head) this will help hold your shoulders up a little more from his mane. Your release is good. With you upper body up a little more, your elbows will not be so low beside Leo’s neck. Nice job.
