Be harsh! This was my mare’s first English show- she’s a barrel racer. This was a 2’3 jumper round, but I was told to treat it like a hunter round.

Well she’s not a barrel racer anymore… she looks like a natural jumper to me
So you were treating it like a hunter round by using your whole arena, right? Not by going slower? That first line looked nice, maybe you could have held her for the extra stride, but it was smooth. The diagonal… you needed to make a decision. If you feel her hesitating or starting to run out (IDK exactly what that curve in the middle was…) then collect and wait for the extra stride, rather than trying to push for the long spot. The single, again you pushed rather than waiting for the stride. Work on making those bending lines smoother, rather than a 90 degree turn, a gradual bend that puts you dead straight to the center of the second jump. The second bending line was a lot smoother.
Not sure why she needs the martingale? I think a lot of the not-so-smoothness is that you might have been a bit anxious (?) and you just started pushing to everything, almost. Work on waiting for your distance, or checking for it, not always moving up. Also, you need to get more weight in your leg to prevent it from sliding back, which might be contributing a little to the speed on the landing side of the jump…
Pretty late turn by you from 2-3 and again later in the round. Catherine Norman is right…this little paint IS A JUMPER! Learn to embrace those slightly short distances. She is soooooo good with her front legs, that she is really good from the deep spots. Her barrel training will come in handy later when you want to go fast in the jump offs. I think you found a “Diamon in the Rugh” with this little horse.
