Schooling over 3’3″ tall x 3’6″ wide Oxers

This is my 14.2hh 3/4 Arab mare and I jumping some big oxers. My standards in the top photo are 5′. I feel like over bigger and wider fences, I don’t have trouble keeping my lower leg, but my butt gets left behind. Why is that? My release is off over these fences too. Please judge horse & rider. Thank you!

  1. Holy crap! Your horse has INCREDIBLE scope for her size! Holy bageezus! I don’t think you look too bad… you’re staying out of her way and honestly, with that jump I don’t know how anyone could do much else! I think in the second photo you were a bit long but the first one seems fine to me. You really should show her in some jumpers! She looks pretty fast… I bet you guys would kick butt! I’d LOVE to see some more photos of her. Sorry if I’m rambling but I just can not get over her amazing jump! haha :D

    Thanks everyone :]
I do show her in the Jumpers! I broke her as a 4yo, and she just turned 6 in April, so we are taking it slowly. I currently show her in the 3′ Jumpers, but am aiming to try a 3’6″ class this fall! She is VERY fast and is super compact, so we can make a lot of tight inside turns that a lot of the bigger horses can’t!

  5. Wow What scope for an arabian! i dont know many arabians that could jump. You must be a great trainer!
