Jazzy is a 10 year old AQHA mare. I bought her when she was 8 knowing that she was going to be a challenge; she was just a more of a challenge then what we thought. When I got her someone had burned her out big time, and the people I got her from just didn’t know how to/didn’t want to deal with her and sold her after owning her for 9 months. The fight she gave me in the beginning of the run was nothing compared to how it use to be. This show was in December of 2011 and she hadn’t ran nor seen a pattern since August of 2010. She gave me no gate problems that day, and this was the only thing she gave a fight with. It wasn’t even mean like how they normally are, she just really wanted to see if I would let her get away with it. But once I told her know and kept her looking at the pattern she went willingly and I didn’t have to ask. I just let her choose her own pace and I didn’t force the issue or make a huge scene about the fight and she was just brilliant the whole day. Jazzy won the class and won every other class I put her in that day.

WOW WOW WOW she has some speed to her! The poles was a little jerky but the arena race and barrels was great! Love to see you running in an arena with run in and run out shoots as I bet you would lay down some amazing times. GREAT JOB!!!
That was her just on cruise on every pattern. She has come so far so fast in the little time I had her, coming from all she knew was run, no walk, trot or canter, to now being able to go into a pleasure class and place. She had no idea how to relax and was just a coil spring and now she can on a loose rein in a loose ring snaffle on a 10 mile trail ride and not have a problem at all.
That is so exciting to hear!! Great job and you should be proud at how far you brought her. Keep it up and love to hear these types of stories!!
