- This was my second class of the season for equitation on the rail.
Sterling and I have been working together for a few months now. I am working on lead changes, frames, and speed control. He is the type of horse who doesn’t charge a jump but gets extremely excited. He really enjoys jumping he just needs tought the basics. we have a hard time working from smaller jumps to bigger jumps becuase jumps under 2 ft he trips over but jumps above 2ft he will be completely willing with ears forward.
Any suggestions on what to work on to help me tune my horse.
Here are the things I found that need fixing.
Photo 1: standing in the stirrups and could put the heel down a smidge more.
Photo 2:sterling is concentrated looking the opposit direction of which i have intended for him. also look at his front left at the bend of his ankle. I have noticed in other photos his fetlock basicly touches the ground with his every bounding step.
Photo 3:western headstall (i know bad) I locked my English headstall in my tack box. haha ooops
