This is my 10 year old APHA/Arabian Large Pony. These pictures are from the 2011 State Fair Youth Day Show. They are from his Pony Hunter undersaddle classes. There were some fancy ponies in those classes but he got a 2nd, 3rd, and won the ‘Championship’ class out of about 18 other ponies. This is his old leaser riding him so JUDGE PONY ONLY !
Here are a few pics from schooling that show his movement a bit better ….
He is a very pretty mover, he reaches forward with his front, and is engaging his hind end. But I think he could have a longer frame, in both of the photos on the left he is behind the bit. Make sure he is moving forward into your hand at all times.
