    This is actually an interesting photo, as your horse begins to go around a turn. He’s on the correct lead, but his spine is dead strait….as if he were on a straight line. A more sophisticated ride, would have the horse slightly bent through his neck to the inside of the turn, by using an inside indirect rein aid. You can see him leaning in….that shortens up a horse’s stride. You have to try to keep him “upright”. He should have 1/2 of his weight on his outiside 2 legs, and 1/2 of his weight on his inside 2 legs. Here…you can see that he has almost all of his body weight over his 2 right legs! I’m big on keeping horses balanced……from front to back, and from side to side.
