So this is my pony and I in a jumping lesson from earlier in the spring. It was a trot in canter out vertical. We were working on a relaxed and quiet approach and trying not to get such a long distance. I know she is a bit loose with her legs. She prefers higher fences and really snaps them up when they are higher. But that is still no excuse! We are working on grids to improve that. For myself, I feel I may need to shorten my stirrups a little and then close my hip angle some? And I’m sure I could use more release, but, like I said, we were attempting to stay under control! Also, my back is slightly too rounded I think and I definitely need need to turn my hip in which would help fix my turned out toes. And my wrist are pointing down. Anything else? Please be picky, we are working on becoming an EQ pair!! Thanks so much!! I’d love a few tips from Robert!! =) Any tips are welcome though!

You’re right…..stirrups a little shorter. Your release & body position are good. The horse jumped primarily off of 1 hind foot Keep your back straight if you’re going into equitation.
