Ranger

Ranger

This is my first time riding this horse.  Her name is Ranger and she is four years old.  Please judge horse and rider

Please Judge Tampico and I

Please judge my ride! This was my first time jumping this mare, and boy does she have a jump. Suprisingly enough this jump is actually 3ft. I feel like I kinda babied this jump, like I’m in a fetalish position, and I could have given a release. I feel bad about that.. otherwise please judge Tampico and myself. Thank you :)

American Quarter Horse mare does Dressage

My mare Dottie or (Jos Royal DottieGirl) has had a hard life from being abused to loading her first foal. She has been doing dressage for about 2my years now and has gone all the way from training level to level A dressage. I have to admit that most people didn’t think she could do it but I proved them all wrong. She still has an attitude and that’s what makes me wounder if she will ever come out of that mood swing phase. I do love her more than anything and can’t ask for anything more. I love Dottie and that’s all that matters.

OTTB: Week 4

I took on this 4 Y.O. OTTB mare as a project about 4 weeks ago…here is a video at the 3.5 week mark…her canter has improved considering she used to buck and fly into the canter and frequently cross fire/disunite the canter.

I have ridden OTTBs in the past, none of whom were as green as she is (she was pretty much a clean slate type project, with some basic under saddle work). I’d appreciate any advice on how to continue building her confidence-as you can tell from the video she gets pretty tense at times, like she is anticipating or panicking, and she starts to paddle like CRAZY and just turns into a stress ball…when she gets like that I have been making the task a little simpler, a little different, or I loosen the rein as she begins to calm down and lightly stretches into the contact-sometimes that takes several minutes.

I know these things take large amounts of time, but I’d be interested in knowing how to make the most of my time with her, to save both her and myself any extra frustration.

Thank you!!!

Lucy and I Showing

This is me and my friend’s 17 y.o, QH X named Lucy! This is the first show I’ve done with her, and my first show in a very long time. We ended up getting a 3rd, 5th, and 6th (she spooked in the first class and never really calmed down 100%) Please judge both! Thanks so much!

Critique Please? :) Thanks!

I haven’t been riding for that long, but it always nice to have another persons perspective on what I need to work on making better! There is a clinic at my barn soon, so I’d like to fix up my eq before then.  Please judge me not the horses.  Thank You!

Please don't post to facebook.

Maggie

I know the jumps look kind of like jumpers. Our lesson jumps aren’t that Hunter like, but that will be changing soon.

Please don’t post to facebook or twitter, thank you. :)

Please judge!

Green Hunter – Please Judge

This is my 6 y/o OTTB mare. We will be showing in the Green Hunters (2’6″) on the local circuit this year and I wanted to get some opinions of her style. This is her free jumping 2’6″ in November. She has free jumped up to 3’3″ with room to spare. Do you think she could do the Derbys (our goal)? Anyone is welcome to comment. Thanks!

IHSA Eq Flat

This was at the last UGA Ihsa show, I was really proud of this flat class, it was one of the best I’ve had in awhile. I used to be dynamite in the Eq, I was 2nd in the State in 2011 for Adult Eq. But I switched to Jumpers and have some shoulder issues SO. Somehow I didn’t place in this flat class, no one understood what happened. Everyone, I mean everyone placed me top 3. The judge was randomly placing people that day, some interesting things happened for sure. Eq is my strong suit even on a bad day, so it was an interesting weekend… they also told me not to touch this mare’s face, at all, so I was working with that as well.
