Schooling Penny W/P

This is my all-around AQHA mare, Penny.  She’s only been doing western for a little over a year now.  I’ve posted pictures of her schooling hunter under saddle (what she really excels in), and I finally got some pictures of her western!  Please judge horse and rider as best as you can.  Thank you!(:

My 5year old QH gelding

This is chase, he’s been racing for two years. He has all cow horse breeding with Doc Bar on both sides. Recently at his first competitive race he ran a solid 16.83 s. our problem has been flying out at our left barrel ( we started going left recently due to his problem and it has helped). Critique him and I, I also jump and trail ride him, he gets bored easy, so it gives him time to think.

Starting Lateral Work

This is my 3 yr old Morgan/Paint mare, and I would love any suggestions on beginning lateral work. Right now, we are starting with just one step at a time, but I would love any advice on when and how I should begin asking for more. Also, I just began working her in a bosal, and its new to us; she absolutely hated the snaffle, and had a bad experience with bits when she was 9 months old and being broke to harness by the Amish (yes , crazy… I purchased her at nine months from an Amish auction), so I am trying to stay bit less for now. Any advice on working correctly with the bosal would be very appreciated as well. Thanks!

Flash and Rileigh

My  new horse flash and I at our first race, I do highschool rodeo  and this was a multi district race. I ended up 5th out of 4 different districts and 2nd in my district. This horse has a way different style of riding than my previous horse whom you had to push all the way through the barrel where this one you sit and he turns. We went a little wide on this turn but came back strong. This horse has been around to many different pro rodeos as well. He’s awesome! Any feedback would be appreciated. I know I look horrible, again, first race on him. Thanks again! My new horse flash and I at our first race, I do highschool rodeo and this was a multi district race.
